Stainless steel butt weld fittings are used to connect and create piping systems. They are welded around fittings and pipes. They are manufactured and labeled as WP316 / 316L
Used where the system requires good flow, they are installed as permanent piping. Most accessories are equipped with sloping edges for welding
Schedule 10 provides {SCH10} and Schedule 40 {SCH40} Schedule 80 accessories and heavier accessories are available upon request
These butt weld fittings are all ASTM A403 standards and require fittings to be manufactured as follows:

316L is a low carbon version of 316 stainless steel with good resistance to carbide precipitation (sensitization). This makes it suitable for heavy duty (more than about 6mm) welded parts.
